July Favourites 2014
When I started to write this post and started looking through the stuff I had been using this month I realised there wasn’t really any new things that I had tried this month that was beauty related. I’ve pretty much have been using the same things from the previous months. So there actually isn’t any beauty related products this month but there is skincare products and nail polish.
- The Body Shop Cool & Creamy Wash – I’ve been wanting a new facial wash for blemished skin so I decided to look into The Body’s Shops Tea Tree range and picked up this as I’ve seen quite a bit of good reviews about this. I find that this has really helped eliminate some spots and it doesn’t make my skin feel tight or isn’t drying on the skin like some other facial washes for blemished skin tend to do. This wash leaves the skin feeling smooth and fresh afterwards.
- The Body Shop Vitamin E Intense Moisture Cream – My skin has been so dry this winter especially around my forehead and my cheek bones. At times, my skin would also be flaky around those areas. I saw this and decided to give this a shot and I am so glad I did. My skin is no longer dry and it finally feels so soft around those areas. The cream is thick so it really gets to work when applied and it doesn’t make your skin greasy. I’m not sure if it’s recommend to apply under the make-up as I only apply it at night because it’s quite thick but you could wait a couple of minutes and put your make-up.
- Hey Gorgeous Candy Floss Lip Scrub – Along with my face, my lips too have been feeling really dry and what I needed was a good scrub to help remove the dead skin. This does the job great and not only that but it leaves your lips feeling so smooth plus it smells amazing.
- Clinque’s Anti-Blemish Clinical Gel – When I have those big pimples, they would usually take about a week or more to go away but this thing is a life saviour. I apply it on the spot and it reduces the redness of it and size in a matter of hours. Defiantly a must have for those nasty big pimples.
- Revlon Parfumerie – Lavender Soap – When I saw Essie Button wearing this nail polish, I knew I had to get my hands on it as the colour was simply gorgeous. This was my first time trying this polish so I wasn’t quite sure what to expect. The brush is a bit thin but easy enough to apply. This polish does require at least two coats and the scent of this I found out lasted about 4-5 days which is quite a lot of days considering I had a top coat. Also this has been the polish that has been the most chip resistant that I own. It lasted about 6 days without a single chip. I’ll defiantly be looking into the other polishes of this range of polishes.
