July Entertainment Favourites 2014
It’s time for some of favourites entertainment during the month of July. I wasn’t watching a lot of TV shows this month as a lot of them are on summer break. The same goes with the movies but here is my favourite movie of the month, favourite show and some of my favourite albums that I’ve been listening to in the past month.
FILMS:
- How To Train Your Dragon 2 – I’m a really huge fan of animation and since I saw the first movie when it came out and absolutely loved it. I knew I had to see the second one and it’s been 4 years since the first movie. As always, before I go see a squeal, I’m a bit worried that the film won’t be as good as the first. I’m happy to report that with this movie, it isn’t the case. To some, this movie could be even better than the first. The movie starts five years later from where the first movie ended and the movie continues to show and challenge the relationship between Hiccup and Toothless as well as with his father. This movie is a must see if you enjoyed the first.
TELEVISION SHOWS:
- Teen Wolf – It feels like yesterday that season three ended but it hasn’t been too long since it did and the show is back already and I’m so glad it is. The season started right off where season three ended. There are some new characters, characters that seem likeable but we’ve also said goodbye some of old characters that are no longer with us any more. But the show still has all it’s action like the previous seasons which will keep you entertained.
MUSIC:
I’ve been listening to a lot of new music the last month and so here are my favourites albums that have been on repeat for sometime now. Also, next week, I have an upcoming post featuring some of favourite songs which might include some songs from these albums below.
- Arctic Monkeys (AM) – This is actually the first album I’ve listened to from the Arctic Monkey’s even though I’ve heard of this band for a long time. I have fallen in love with them and their music. I love the style of their music which is quite Indie Rock. My favourite songs off the album are Do I Wanna Know? Why’d You Only Call Me When You’re High? and Snap Out Of It.
- Coldplay (Midnight) – I am so happy that Coldplay have released another album. They’re one of my favourite bands. It had been a while since they released an album and this album well let’s say it was worth the wait. My favourite songs of the album have got to be A Sky Full of Stars, Midnight and Magic.
- Lea Michele (Louder) – I am such a big fan of Lea Michele and when I had heard that she was going to release an album, I got really excited. Her album recently came out and I love it. The album features great up beat songs as well as some a bit more mellow. My favourites of the album have to be Empty Handed, Don’t Let It Go, Louder and On My Way.
- Ed Sheeran (X) – This album recently came out and I absolutely love it. It’s my favourite album of his. My favourite songs off the album besides I See Fire as that song came out a long time ago on The Hobbit soundtrack is probably Thinking Out Loud, One and Nina.
- The Fault In Our Stars Soundtrack – The music featured in the album have been so great and they fit each scenes of the movie really well. The album features some really great artists from Ed Sheeran, Birdy to M83 and Kodaline. My favourite songs on the album have to be All The Stars, Simple As This, Oblivion, Not About Angels and Best Shot.
