5 Tips To Deal With Anxiety

As someone who deals with anxiety more than I’d care to admit, I find that these tips can help calm me down when I’m really anxious. I know that feeling of nervousness or that constant worrying is stressful so I have compiled a few tips to help you feel less anxious.

Go For A Walk – Exercise is important when it comes to your well-being. Not only physically but also mentally. If you find you don’t have time to exercise, go for a walk. Getting fresh air can help clear your mind and calm yourself. It will help you increase your endorphins.

Drink Herbal Tea – If you don’t have time to go for a walk, drinking herbal tea defiantly helps make you feel less anxious. Drinking tea’s like Chamomile or Peppermint help calm you down

Listening To Music – Listening to your favourite songs or artists is a good distraction and soothing. Listening to happy music will change your mood. I have actually made a playlist with some feel good songs that I find calms me down when I’m feeling anxious. Watch A Film/TV Shows/Youtube – I find  that distracting myself from the situation that’s making me anxious certainly helps your mind stop thinking about what’s making you anxious. I personally prefer watching my favourite youtube as the videos are shorter but make me happy. Smiling and laughing also help you increase your endorphins

Get Plenty of Sleep – Something I find I don’t get enough of is sleep. The constant worrying is tiring so getting enough sleep is important. Taking a nap can help can help relax your body. If you have trouble sleeping, try drinking some chamomile tea as it helps calm you down, easing your mind to help you sleep.

I know there are more in depth methods to help deal with anxiety which is what I’ll get into in another post. These are just some quick tips to help you feel less anxious.
